New suncreen aka Brise-soleil (bree so-LAY)

was tired of the old 4 foot high horizontal 1x6's,
so built a more mcm style screen to match the
center atrium porch's vertical slats.  Will continue around
side with this as time goes on.
First the before....

 And then the after...

Utilized the existing horizontal fence in back......

Mad Men credenza

Long mod Mad Men credenza.  Got it with no drawers on side.  Decided to make fixed panels for those.  Painted interior of center part white.  The regular sanding, staining, tung oil, etc was done as well.  Cool piece being that the back is beautiful wood as well so it can be used as a room divider or similar(doesn't have to sit against a wall). $200

Retro 32" Flat panel TV housing......

Bringin old school with the times.  Based on Jon Wilkerson's prototype, I decided
to give it a try with some cheapo wood.  Turned out great.  A little high, if I could do it over I'd
take one of the bottom layers away and make the height shorter.  TV fits flush up to molding with a modified backing to it.

Farrup Mobelfabrik a/s sideboard

Decided to convert the plain sideboard into a bit more modern one.  Added legs,
torched the entire piece, added in white trim for a clean look, added a back support.
Turned out nice. $60

retro nightstand

Picked up a small nightstand at habitat for cheap, so decided to create a little
mix charred with the torch.  I never thought black would go with the golden wood,
but something with the charring process as opposed to a black paint, makes it work in my opinion.....

Address Block

Decided to change up the address block.  Changed to 1x4 yellow southern pine and applied a little art known as shou sugi ban to it.  I didn't char it completely since I wanted to have the multiple colors throughout.  Here's the result....
